Description: Hakubai Premium Mochigome Sweet Rice 白梅糯米 2.27kg. Hakubai offers perfect and premium sweet rice for you to prepare traditional Japanese Sekihan(Red Bean Rice), Ohagi(Reg Bean Mochi), or Sakura Mochi(Cherry Blossom Mochi)!
Tuk Tuk Method: 1. Wash rice under cold running water until water is almost clear. Let it sit for 12 hours or overnight, then drain. 2. Spread the sweet rice in a thin, even layer on a colander, sieve, or steam rack lined with cheesecloth. 3. Cover with lid and cook over rapidly boiling water for 25 minutes. 4. Sprinkle lightly with salt, then steam for an additional 20 to 25 minutes, or until rice is tender and translucent. 5. Add extra boiling water to steamer if necessary. (1 cup of uncooked sweet rice makes about 2 cups of cooked rice) 6. Use it to prepare traditional Japanese Sekihan(Red Bean Rice), Ohagi(Reg Bean Mochi), or Sakura Mochi(Cherry Blossom Mochi), and enjoy!
Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight.
