Description: Akagi Joshu Udon 270g. Akagi dried udon noodles are a finer version of the classic udon noodles. The noodles are produced in Japan's world-famous wheat district. These noodles are known in Japan as "Akagi Sokuhin", and measure as 3mm by 1.5mm when dry. These noodles are perfect for most Japanese dishes.
Tuk Tuk Method: Can be served hot in soups, stir-fries or even cold with a dipping sauce in summer weather. To cook the dried udon noodles: 1. Bring a pan of water to boil (1L/90g noodles). 2. Add the noodles to the pan and stir occasionally. 3. Simmer for 10 minutes. 4. Drain and wash immediately in cold water. Serve the noodles warm or cold with udon dipping sauce (tsuyu), a delicious blend of Rashi stock, soy sauce and sweet mirin rice wine.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
