Lobo Masman Curry Paste 50g

Description: Lobo Masman curry paste 50g is a ready-made massaman curry paste from Thailand, blended from chilli, lemongrass, garlic, galangal, shallot and shrimp paste. Massaman is the mildest of the classic Thai curries: rich, gently sweet and warmly spiced rather than fiery, which is why it suits beef, lamb and chicken with potato and peanuts. If you find red or green curry too hot, massaman is the place to start. One 50g sachet with coconut milk makes a curry for two to three people.

Tuk Tuk Method: Fry the paste briefly, then add coconut milk (choose one with at least 75% coconut extract) and a teaspoon of ground star anise, as our original tip recommended. Simmer with chicken or beef, potato wedges, onion and a handful of roasted peanuts until tender. Serve over jasmine rice.
