Description: Zongzi is the bamboo-leaf-wrapped sticky rice dumpling eaten at the Dragon Boat Festival — and Tuk Tuk Homemade Fresh Rice Dumpling (Zong Zi) with Pork & Salted Egg 自製新鮮鹹肉粽子 350g is ours, made fresh in small batches where most others are sold frozen. Inside the glutinous rice: seasoned pork, salted egg yolk, peanuts, red beans, mung beans and mushroom, simmered until the bamboo leaves perfume every grain. Savoury, sticky and properly filling.

Tuk Tuk Method: Boil for 30 minutes, unwrap the bamboo leaves and eat hot. One dumpling makes a filling lunch, and leftovers can be sliced and pan-fried for a crisp crust.

Storage: Keep in the fridge or the freezer. If stored in the freezer, defrost thoroughly before boiling the rice dumpling.
