Vegetarian Favourites

Vegetarian Asian food has deep roots in Buddhist temple cooking, and this collection gathers our vegetarian range in one place: fresh tofu and vegetables, mock meats, noodles, sauces and staples.

The fresh side leads: UK-made tofu in firm, silken and deep-fried forms, tempeh, beansprouts, Chinese leaves, mushrooms and the herbs that give vegetarian dishes their lift. The frozen Everbest range brings the temple tradition home — vegetarian duck, drumsticks, sweet-and-sour pieces and spring rolls that have fed meat-free households for generations.

The store cupboard does the heavy lifting. Soy sauces, hoi sin, vermicelli and udon, egg tofu for steaming, pancakes for crispy 'duck' nights, and the pickles and seasonings that keep a bowl of rice interesting. Indomie mi goreng and the noodle shelf cover the quick dinners, and there are snacks and sweets besides.

A practical note: some Asian sauces contain oyster or fish, and recipes change, so please check the pack before you buy. Our separate vegan collection is there for a stricter basket. Orders go by DHL from our Manchester store, with free standard delivery over £75; fresh and frozen lines add a £5.50 surcharge once per order.
