Fresh Thai Red Shallot (Thai) 200g

Fresh Thai shallots (hom daeng) are the small, pink-red shallots of Thai cooking, sweeter and milder than the big banana shallots in British supermarkets. They are the base of curry pastes, nam prik chilli dips and som tam salads, and they fry up crisp and golden as a garnish. This 200g pack keeps a Thai kitchen stocked for the week.

Pound into red or panang curry paste with dried chillies and lemongrass. Slice thinly into larb and salads, or deep-fry for crispy shallots to scatter over rice and curries. We stock only produce we are happy to cook with ourselves, delivered fresh across the UK.
