Description: East Asia Cordyceps Flowers 100g is a bag of dried cordyceps flowers — the bright orange strands of cultivated cordyceps, sold for Chinese soups and broths. They have a mild, gently earthy flavour with a slight natural sweetness, and the strands soften in the pot to be eaten along with the soup. In Cantonese soup shops they are usually simmered with chicken, pork ribs, red dates and goji berries.
Tuk Tuk Method: Rinse, then soak in warm water for 10-15 minutes before cooking. Add to chicken or pork rib soup and simmer gently for an hour or two, with red dates and goji berries if you like. Eat the softened flowers with the broth — nothing goes to waste.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
