Description: Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce 李錦記 舊莊特級蠔油 is the top grade from the Hong Kong sauce house that invented oyster sauce back in 1888. Thicker, darker and more intensely savoury than everyday oyster sauce, it gives stir-fries that glossy restaurant sheen and a deep, rounded umami that salt alone cannot reach.
Tuk Tuk Method: The seasoning for beef with broccoli and chow mein — a tablespoon in the wok is usually enough. Toss through blanched gai lan with fried garlic. Use as the base of a marinade for char siu-style roast pork or spare ribs.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigerate after opening.
