Tempeh - Fermented Soya Beans GM Free, Additives Free 395g (Frozen)

Description: Tempeh 395g (frozen) is a firm, nutty cake of fermented soya beans, Indonesia's best-known contribution to the store cupboard. This one is made without GM ingredients or additives: just soya beans, water and a starter culture. Unlike tofu, tempeh keeps the whole bean, so it has a satisfying bite and a savoury, mushroomy depth that takes well to marinades and crisp frying. Defrost fully before cooking.

Tuk Tuk Method: Slice and shallow-fry until golden, then glaze with kecap manis for tempeh goreng, served with rice and sambal. Crumble into curries and stir-fries as a mince swap, or marinate slices in soy, garlic and lime and bake for sandwiches and salads.

This item was originally frozen and may become chilled during delivery. Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions or the recommended use-by date. The ice packs we provide are to maintain the temperature of the frozen/chilled goods. When arriving to the customer, frozen products may be slightly defrosted on the surface, but the products are still in perfect condition to cook on the same day.
