Brown Rice

Brown Rice is the wholegrain counterpart to white rice, retaining the outer bran and germ layers that are removed during the milling of white rice. The result is a nuttier, more textured grain — and at Tuk Tuk Mart, we stock a range of Brown Rice online from Asian brands with UK delivery.

The bran layer gives the Brown Rice its characteristic tan colour and slightly chewy bite. It takes a little longer to cook than white rice — follow the timing on the pack — but the result is a filling, satisfying grain that holds up well as a base for rice bowls, stir-fries and curries.

We stock Thai brown jasmine rice from Charm Rice, Kaset and Golden Phoenix, brown rice mixed with red cargo rice from Sandee, and Yutaka's semi-polished brown sushi rice.
