Description: J-Basket Firm Tofu (Satonoyuki) 300g is a shelf-stable Japanese firm tofu that keeps in the cupboard until opened — handy when the fridge is full. Satonoyuki is a well-known Japanese tofu brand, and the firm block holds its shape when sliced, cubed and fried, so it suits stir-fries and braises where softer tofu would crumble. The flavour is mild and clean, ready to take on whatever sauce you cook it in.
Tuk Tuk Method: Cube and stir-fry with vegetables and oyster sauce. Simmer into miso soup or mapo tofu — it holds together in the sauce. Or slice, pat dry and pan-fry until golden for rice bowls and salads.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight. Once opened keep refrigerated.
