Mama Instant Rice Vermicelli Thai Hot & Spicy (Tom Yum Koong) Flavour 55g

Description: Mama tom yum noodles with a difference: this 55g pack swaps wheat noodles for fine rice vermicelli in a Thai hot and spicy (tom yum koong) broth. Koong means prawn, and the seasoning blends chilli, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf, fish sauce and dried shrimp for the classic hot, sour and fragrant tom yum taste. The vermicelli cooks in about 3 minutes and soaks up the broth beautifully. A lighter-feeling alternative to standard instant noodles, and a long-standing favourite across Thailand.

Tuk Tuk Method: Add the noodles and seasoning to a bowl, cover with boiling water and leave for 3 minutes, then stir well. Add cooked prawns, mushrooms and a squeeze of lime for a fuller bowl. Or drain after soaking and stir-fry with egg, beansprouts and spring onion for a dry tom yum noodle.
