Description: NAT seedless preserved wah plums 自然良品化核話梅王 are the classic Chinese huamei 話梅 snack: green plums cured with salt, sugar and liquorice until sweet, salty and sour all at once. These have had the stones removed, so they are easy to eat straight from the 70g tub. The flavour is intense and moreish, and one plum goes a long way. Popular as a travel snack and a palate cleanser, they can also be steeped in hot water or soda for a sweet-sour drink.
Tuk Tuk Method: Eat straight from the tub as a sweet-sour snack. Steep one or two plums in hot water or sparkling water for a huamei drink. Or chop finely and stir into a glaze for spare ribs or roast duck.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place and away from sunlight.
