Description: Hoisin sauce is the sweet, sticky condiment of Cantonese duck and pork dishes, and Flying Goose Hoi Sin Sauce 飛鵝牌海鮮醬 455ml is a classic bottle of it. Rich and thick, its umami depth comes from soybean paste, with sweetness from sugar and extra complexity from sesame oil and star anise. It is equally good straight from the bottle as a dip or cooked into stir-fries and glazes. (Not to be confused with oyster sauce, which is saltier and thinner.)
Tuk Tuk Method: Spread inside pancakes for crispy duck, or brush over char siu-style pork as it roasts. Serve as a dip for spring rolls and dumplings, or add a spoonful to a bowl of pho at the table, the Vietnamese way.
