Fresh Coriander Roots (Thai) 100g

Description: Fresh coriander roots are the quiet backbone of Thai cooking — more intense and earthy than the leaves, with a deep, peppery coriander flavour. Thai cooks pound them with garlic and white pepper into the famous paste that starts everything from marinades for grilled chicken to tom yum. They are near-impossible to find in UK supermarkets, which is exactly why we stock them fresh from Thailand. A 100g pack goes a long way, and any extra freezes well for next time.

Tuk Tuk Method: Pound with garlic and white pepper for the classic Thai marinade base. Add to curry pastes for depth. Or simmer in stocks and tom yum, then remove before serving.
