Description: Fresh lemongrass is the backbone of Thai cooking, and these Thai stalks arrive fragrant and full of citrusy oils. Bruise a stalk with the back of a knife and it releases that unmistakable lemon-ginger aroma — the base note of tom yum, Thai curries and countless Vietnamese and Malaysian dishes. Use the tender lower third for curry pastes and finely sliced salads; simmer the tougher tops in broths and curries, then fish them out before serving. Delivered fresh across the UK.

Tuk Tuk Method: Bruise and simmer in tom yum or tom kha. Bash with galangal and kaffir lime leaves as the start of a curry paste. Or steep in hot water with ginger for a simple fresh lemongrass tea.

Storage: Keep refrigerated, wrapped or in a bag. Also freezes well for longer storage.
