Description: Kawan gua bao buns (lotus leaf buns) are the soft, folded steamed buns that cradle crispy pork belly at Taiwanese street stalls. Ten plain, unfilled buns per 300g bag, ready to steam from frozen and fill with whatever you fancy. The crumb is light and slightly sweet, made to soak up sauce without falling apart.

Tuk Tuk Method: Steam from frozen for 10–15 minutes (or microwave for about a minute) until soft and hot through. Fill the classic way with braised pork belly, crushed peanut sugar and pickled greens. Also very good with fried chicken, kimchi or hoisin mushrooms for a meat-free take.

Storage: Keep frozen below -18°C. Do not refreeze once thawed.
