Description: Lee Kum Kee Premium Dark Soy Sauce 500ml is the dark soy sauce to keep by the wok for colour, gloss and gentle caramel depth. Dark soy is aged longer and brewed thicker than light soy sauce, so it is less about salt and more about the deep mahogany shine it gives fried rice, noodles and braises. If a recipe calls for dark soy and you only have light, the dish will taste fine but look pale — this bottle fixes that. Naturally brewed by Lee Kum Kee 李錦記.
Tuk Tuk Method: Add a splash to fried rice and chow mein for restaurant colour. Use in red-braised pork belly or soy sauce chicken for a deep, glossy finish. Or stir a little into a marinade for char siu-style ribs.
