Lobo Holy Basil Seasoning Paste 50g

Description: Lobo Holy Basil Seasoning Paste 50g is the shortcut to pad kra pao, Thailand's beloved holy basil stir-fry. This holy basil seasoning paste blends dried holy basil with chilli, soy sauce and fish sauce, so one sachet seasons a whole pan of minced chicken, pork or beef. Peppery, garlicky and fiercely aromatic, holy basil gives pad kra pao its distinctive punch — sweet basil will not do the same job. Serve over jasmine rice with a crispy fried egg on top, the Bangkok way.

Tuk Tuk Method: For gai pad kaprao, fry the paste in 3 tablespoons of oil until fragrant, add 250g of minced or sliced chicken and stir-fry until cooked. Spoon over steamed jasmine rice and crown with a fried egg. Also excellent with minced pork, prawns or firm tofu.
