It's a powerhouse of plant-based protein and probiotics, and it absorbs marinades and seasonings beautifully. Fry slices until crispy and serve with sambal, or crumble into a stir-fry as a meat-free mince alternative — either way, it's exceptional.
Classic preparation: Slice thinly, marinate in kecap manis and garlic, then shallow fry until golden and crispy. Serve with steamed rice and chilli sauce.
