Description: Nivo Foods Palm Sugar 500g is Indonesian palm sugar — the deep, caramel sweetness behind Thai curries, dressings and Southeast Asian desserts. Made from 95% palm sugar with a little cane sugar, it melts into sauces far more gracefully than white sugar, giving a rounded sweetness with a hint of smoke. A 500g pack keeps well in the cupboard.
Tuk Tuk Method: Melt into Thai green or red curry to balance the chilli heat. Stir into som tam (green papaya salad) dressing with lime juice and fish sauce. Or dissolve into coconut milk for sago gula melaka and cendol.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
